01What we collect
Nothing about you reaches us. Morning Winner (“the app”, “we”) has no accounts, no sign-in and no server of its own. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs, and we don’t track you across other apps or websites.
The app stores the following only on your devices:
| Data | Where it lives |
|---|---|
| Alarms, quote packs, settings | On your iPhone, in the app’s storage. |
| Match history, streak, season record, peak dB | On your iPhone, mirrored to your widgets and Apple Watch. |
| “Future you” voice recordings (Pro) | On your iPhone, saved as alarm sounds. Only you record them, and only you hear them. |
| Victory clips (optional) | On your iPhone, in temporary storage. Unsaved clips are deleted automatically the next time the app starts. |
Deleting the app deletes all of it. Like any app data, it may be part of your own iCloud or device backup, which Apple handles under Apple’s privacy policy.
02Microphone & speech recognition
To win the morning you shout your phrase. While the challenge screen is open, the app uses the microphone to measure loudness and Apple’s speech recognizer to check the words.
- On-device only. Speech recognition runs on your iPhone, using Apple’s on-device
SpeechAnalyzer; on older iOS versions the app falls back toSFSpeechRecognizerwith on-device-only recognition enforced (requiresOnDeviceRecognition). Either way, your audio isn’t sent to us, to Apple’s servers or to anyone else. - Not stored. The shout audio is processed live and discarded. The app keeps only the result: win or loss, time and peak dB.
- Exception: recordings you make on purpose. In Voice Studio (Pro) you can record a “future you” alarm. It’s saved locally as an alarm sound and never uploaded.
- If you deny speech recognition, the challenge switches to loudness-only mode. If you deny the microphone, the challenge can’t run. You can change both in iOS Settings at any time.
03Camera & photos
The front camera is off by default. If you turn on “Record my win”, the app records a few seconds of your winning shout and keeps it in temporary storage on your iPhone. It leaves your phone only if you share it yourself, for example to Instagram or TikTok through the iOS share sheet. What happens next is covered by that service’s own policy.
If you choose “Save to Photos”, the app asks for add-only access to your photo library. It can add your cards and clips. It can’t read your existing photos.
04Purchases (Apple & RevenueCat)
Pro subscriptions are sold through the App Store. Apple processes your payment; we never see your name, email or card details.
We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active. To do that, RevenueCat processes purchase data: an anonymous app user ID generated on your device, your App Store transaction and receipt details, the products you bought, and basic device information such as the iOS version and country/currency of the store. This isn’t linked to your identity by us and isn’t used for advertising. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
05Widgets, Control Center & Apple Watch
Your next kick-off, streak and season record are shared with the app’s widgets through an App Group on your iPhone and sent to your Apple Watch with WatchConnectivity, Apple’s direct phone-to-watch channel. This data stays on your devices. Alarms are scheduled with Apple’s AlarmKit on your device.
06Your choices & rights
- Turn microphone, speech recognition, camera, photos and alarm permissions on or off in iOS Settings → Morning Winner.
- Delete “future you” takes in Voice Studio. Unsaved clips clear themselves. Deleting the app removes everything it stored.
- Because we don’t hold personal data about you, there’s nothing for us to export or erase. For purchase data, you can contact us and we’ll ask RevenueCat to delete the records for your anonymous ID. Under the GDPR and similar laws you may also contact your local data protection authority.
- Age: the app is meant for ages 17+ (the default phrase is explicit) and isn’t directed at children.
07Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the effective date above. If a change matters (for example, if we ever add an account or a backend), we’ll say so in the app before it applies.
